7 days roadtrip around Malaysia (Ipoh part 1)

if you have read my previous entry, after the tour around cameron highlands, we took the bus to Ipoh in the afternoon..in the bus, i called up YMCA Ipoh to find out whether are there rooms available for us to stay in and they said yes! haha budget trip la so we paid only RM10 per night there..when we reached our dormitory, everybody just flopped into their beds and rested since we woke up early in the morning.. most of them too tired to show our triad sign *the peace sign* cheap and comfortable place :)

since there are only two photographers (darren and me) and both our camera's were out of batt that evening, we didn't take many photographs on the 1st day in ipoh..after resting in the room, it was dinner time and we all had to walk bout 2km to find some food stalls to have dinner..apparently, the place where we stayed was not a happening place in Ipoh, kinda like the old Ipoh where the shops are only open when the sun is up! we had a simple dinner and didnt walk much cause we were tired..after dinner, we had to trail back to YMCA..another 2km to walk *wtffff*

decided to walk around the dinner place and found a pastry shop! this shop sells pastries made into different kind of animals such as chicken, snake, pig, alligator, and dinosaur also got!

cute right?

justin mentioned about a big mamak in ipoh and told us we should walk and find that mamak stall..in order to get there, we asked the locals around..we asked the burger man, *points to the right* we asked an uncle on bike, *points to the left* what the hell is going on??? we then decided to rely on out 7th sense *tummy sense* to locate the mamak stall..even took a picture of ipoh map!

map of ipoh

SUDDENLYYYY, it began to pour elephants and giraffes!!! all of us didn't have any umbrella or what so ever so we had to run all d way back to YMCA *really knnccb man* people wanna find mamak, rain pulak come...

after the run, everybody was more awake..after bathing, we settled debts and gambled ;) hahah actually every night for 7 days we settled debts and gambled la so i won't repeat myself in the next entries..slept early cause we wanna wake up at 7 tomorrow to start exploring Ipoh..
